" Eid-ul Adha " 2011 Mubarak

Eid-ul-Adha( Festival of Sacrifice or Greater Eidis an important Islamic festival celebrated by Muslims all over the world.Eid-ul-Adha is celebrated annually on the 10th day of the last Islamic month of the Islamic calender.


Eid-ul-Adha is celebrated in the remembrance of Prophet Ibrahim's Sunnah. Allah commanded Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his dearest son for the sake of Allah. Prophet Ibrahim had a dream, in which Allah was commanding him to sacrifice his son which Allah had granted him after many years. Although Prophet Ibrahim was ready to sacrifice his dearest son for the sake of Allah. Prophet Ibrahim presented the matter to his son and asked for his opinion to about the dream of slaughtering him. Ismael did not show any hesitation even for a moment and said to his father that do what you have been commanded. Both father and son had shown their perfect obedience to Allah and Prophet Ibrahim by lying down his son and Ismael by lying patiently under the knife.Allah called out to them stating that they have passed the test imposed upon them. Then Allah gave him a sheep to sacrifice.

So in the remembrance of Prophet Ibrahim's Sunnah on Eid-ul-Adha people sacrifice their domestic animals like goat, sheep, cows and camels. People buy different kinds of animals of their own choice having different colours.In Pakistan some people buy animals 10 days before Eid and most people buy animal 2 or 3 days before Eid. Animals are decorated with different materials like flowers and so.





  
People buy beautiful clothes according to their own desires for Eid to wear it. Mostly people do shopping one day before eid called ( Chand raat).
When the Eid day comes, all the Muslims wear new and beautiful clothes. Muslims do their break fast with sweet dishes like ( sawayyan, halwa, etc).



Then all Muslims perform Eid-ul-Adha prayer in large group in the specific area for Eid or in the Mosques. After offering prayer all the Muslims meat each other and greet each other by saying Happy Eid( Eid Mubarak).



After this Muslims sacrifice their domestic animals. The meat of sacrifice animals is divided into three parts, one for poor people, second for relatives and third one for own home. With the meat people make different king of dishes according to their own desires and traditions like ( seekh kabaab, chicken tikka, beef karahi, keema etc.



So, celebrate the Eid festival in a creative way to remember it forever. Eid is an occasion when people forget their differences and become friends again. Forgive anyone if somebody is done something wrong with you and develop a strong relation with them again because Eid day is a gift for ous by Allah so we should celebrate it in a creative way so that our Allah become happy with us. On Eid we should pray to Allah so that Allah forgive us and enable us to spend life according to the teachings fo Islam.
